Want to control your weight?

Tuesday, 10 July, 2013.

A nine-week study has been conducted on two groups that were seeking to control their weight. One group used hypnotism, and the other one did not. The group that had worked in hypnotism had continued to get results in the two years of follow-up, while the group that didn't use hypnotism showed no further results (Journal of Clinical Psychoology, 1985).

In another study, 60 women where divided into two groups - one group was using hypnotism, the other group was not. The group that used hypnotism has lost an average weight of 7.5 kg, while the group who did not use hypnotism has lost an average weight of only 2.5 kg (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1986).

In a meta-analysis, comparing the results achieved in having used hypnotism in the treatment of weight control, multiple studies have demonstrated that the use of hypnotism during treatment resulted in a greater loss of weight, with an average of 97% during the treatment. More importantly, the effectiveness post-treatment was over 146%. This just goes to show that hypnotism works even better over time (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996).
